Led by Ed Morrison, A Touch of Brass is a 19-piece Big Band which incorporates brass, woodwinds, rhythm and two vocalists to cover all styles from Swing, Latin, Blues, Rock and ballads to swinging Gospel. A Touch of Brass has been a fan favorite in performances with San Francisco Chamber Symphony, First Night Santa Cruz and even at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Ed Morrison has enjoyed 40 years of musical accomplishments and has played trumpet for such notables as Larry Elgart, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Frankie Valli, Bobby Rydell and Fabian, as well as playing for jazz greats John Faddis, Steve Turre, and Kevin Mahogany. He is a widely sought-after freelance musician and plays many different styles from Salsa to Funk to Gospel and musical theatre. Ed's biggest musical influence is trumpeter Doc Severinsen.
