Lara Price presents “Girls Got The Blues,” an all-star female blues band featuring guitar player Laura Chavez, bass player Jan Martinelli, tenor sax player Nancy Wright, keyboard player/vocalist Janice Maxie Reid, drummer Robin Roth, back up vocalists The Sweet Nectar (Sue McCracklin and Maureen Smith), vocalists Pam Hawkins, Annie Sampson and band leader, Lara Price. This is Lara’s latest project, dedicated to showcasing superlative women players. When these musicians aren’t busy teaching music, tending to their own bands or touring with international headliners (including, collectively, Etta James, James Brown, Leonard Russell, Elvin Bishop, Buddy Miles, B.B. King and many more) they come together to produce a scorching, sultry, harmony-laden blues mix that is guaranteed to get the party started.
