Gino Matteo's performances are spontaneous, explosive, and original, and he is quickly carving out a name for himself as one of the finest emerging songwriters and guitarists in music. Renowned blues guitarist Chris Cain said of him, "Gino is a wonderful guitarist and talented songwriter; as well as a very humble, nice person. I love him." Gino calls himself an "old soul" and the reviews of his music seem to bear that out, as he is repeatedly praised for demonstrating wisdom in his songwriting and playing uncommon for his young age.

Over the course of his career, Gino has worked with artists such as B.B. King, John Mayer, John Fogerty, and The Blind Boys of Alabama. His latest album, I've Been Thinking is now out on Iridium. According to Gino, "If Pearl Jam and Parliament had a baby that grew up at B.B. King’s house on Bourbon Street, this is what you would get."
