New this year is Jazz for Kids, a series of programs at the A's Next Gen Stage in which seasoned Jazz artists interact with young players and attendees about their individual musical paths, and the unique possibilities and demands of the Jazz genre. The programs give budding musicians the unique opportunity to meet the artists and then see them perform in a concert setting. This instruction is taught by San Jose Jazz educator Kris Strom.
